The Manufacturing Process and Technology Manager assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Being a Manufacturing Process and Technology Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Ensures manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. In addition, Manufacturing Process and Technology Manager typically reports to a unit/department head. The Manufacturing Process and Technology Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Manufacturing Process and Technology Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
