The Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) consults with a client, records their basic medical history, assesses their conditions, and suggests appropriate massage techniques based on their current health. Performs massage therapy in a healthcare setting to control pain and promote wellness. Being a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Utilizes soft or deep tissue massage or other therapeutic massage methods to provide pain relief and promote healing. In addition, Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) typically reports to a manager. Requires certification as a massage therapist. Certified Massage Therapist (CMT)'s years of experience requirement may be unspecified.
