The Healthcare/Hospital Receptionist provides phone, clerical, and data entry support including insurance verification. Responsible for greeting and registering patients as they enter the admitting ward of a hospital or clinic. Being a Healthcare/Hospital Receptionist requires a high school diploma. Directs patients, visitors, and callers to appropriate parties and answers basic questions. In addition, Healthcare/Hospital Receptionist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Healthcare/Hospital Receptionist possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
