Operates laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. Conducts only waived and moderate level testing as classified by CLIA. Typically requires an associate's degree of Lab science. Typically reports to a Medical Technologist. Requires certification by ASCP or AMT. Requires passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
