The Manager of Regional Sales manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Being a Manager of Regional Sales evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. In addition, Manager of Regional Sales collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Manager of Regional Sales typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
