The Network Implementation Senior Manager identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Plans, designs, and develops all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Being a Network Implementation Senior Manager develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Directs network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. In addition, Network Implementation Senior Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. Usually is certified and has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Implementation Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as a Network Implementation Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
