The Senior Cerner Project Manager oversees all aspects of projects. Responsible for the coordination and completion of complex projects involving the planning, design, and implementation of EHR (electronic health record) software applications. Being a Senior Cerner Project Manager builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. In addition, Senior Cerner Project Manager resolves any development issues or team member performance issues. Prepares project status reports. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Epic, Cerner, or similar product certification.Typically reports to Manager or Head of a Unit/Department. Being a Senior Cerner Project Manager work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Working as a Senior Cerner Project Manager typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
