The Director of Development, Non-Profit Organization leads donor stewardship and relations to identify, develop, retain, and nurture a portfolio of individual and institutional donors. Directs an organization's fundraising strategies, campaigns, capital development initiatives, and operations to support the overall organizational development and revenue objectives. Being a Director of Development, Non-Profit Organization creates collaborative coordination between staff and internal stakeholders to plan events and communications to increase donor engagement. Researches and identifies potential corporate or governmental partnerships and grant funding opportunities. In addition, Director of Development, Non-Profit Organization uses technology to manage and monitor donor information and produce data-driven measurement and reporting of the progress of fundraising goals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of Development, Non-Profit Organization manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as a Director of Development, Non-Profit Organization typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
