Job Description

The Manager of Diversity/EEO Officer develops, modifies, and maintains employment practices to support regulatory and business requirements. Oversees the implementation and evaluation of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action program plans. Being a Manager of Diversity/EEO Officer recognizes and defines opportunities to enhance diversity in the workforce. Develops training programs and educates staff about EEO matters. In addition, Manager of Diversity/EEO Officer hires, coaches, mentors and develops employees in regards to diversity issues research and offers effective staffing solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Manager of Diversity/EEO Officer typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
