The Professional Certification Manager oversees the development of standards and testing materials. Manages the operations of the certification or credentialing programs of a professional association or membership organization. Being a Professional Certification Manager may interface with outside testing organizations. Ensures that all activities and requirements regarding an organization's certification programs are met. In addition, Professional Certification Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Professional Certification Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
