The Director of Outpatient Services ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and various departments. Creates, directs, and implements the policies and procedures for the outpatient services function. Being a Director of Outpatient Services requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards. In addition, Director of Outpatient Services typically reports to top management. The Director of Outpatient Services manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Working as a Director of Outpatient Services typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
