The Systems Infrastructure Design/Planning/Performance Manager ensures that hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Manages daily operations in the department responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Being a Systems Infrastructure Design/Planning/Performance Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Monitors systems performance and provides recommendations as required. In addition, Systems Infrastructure Design/Planning/Performance Manager typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Systems Infrastructure Design/Planning/Performance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Systems Infrastructure Design/Planning/Performance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
