Manages business development activities to identify, develop, and administer strategic partnerships with other organizations to realize key objectives, gain operational efficiencies, address unmet market needs, and create new customers and markets. Leads research activities to identify business opportunities, conduct due diligence, and develop plans and strategies for new alliances. Negotiates with new partners to formalize alliances and relationships. Implements partnerships with stakeholders across the organization. Establishes processes to track, measure, and analyze results and outcomes and evaluate alliances' value. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
