Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. Documents and reports on patients' progress. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires state license to practice physical therapy. Typically reports to a manager. Work is closely managed.
