The Six Sigma Black Belt plans and develops guidelines, targets, and standards used for monitoring and measuring results. Leads and manages Six Sigma projects. Being a Six Sigma Black Belt coaches and trains teams in the utilization and deployment of Six Sigma tools and principles. Incorporates Six Sigma methodology and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives. In addition, Six Sigma Black Belt requires Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Six Sigma Black Belt typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as a Six Sigma Black Belt typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
