Job Description for Toolpusher

Toolpusher oversees all rig operations to ensure the operations are conducted safely and effectively and meet customer expectations. Provides proper guidance and direction to rig crew on specific tasks to be performed, enforcing safe work practices and conducting training sessions as necessary. Being a Toolpusher monitors employees' performance and progress, addressing attendance issues and making sure crew is provided with appropriate tools and supplies. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Toolpusher typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Toolpusher manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
