Technical Sales Supervisor Salary in the United States

Supervises and coaches a team of sales representatives to sell technical services, products, and systems and meet or exceed selling targets. Identifies sales opportunities and develops prospects. Coaches team in the creation and delivery of compelling technical presentations that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Participates in contract negotiations. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the product roadmap. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
