Establishes methodologies for identifying and researching new potential threats using public and private information, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and other effective research techniques. Leads the creation of clear, effective, and proactive plans for avoiding or mitigating newly emerged or evolving threats. Makes level-headed decisions in crises. Investigates incidents that expose potential issues in current organizational security plans and procedures. Alerts top management or business partners about relevant threats. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or top management. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
