The Store Loss Prevention Auditor/Analyst evaluates processes and procedures to identify internal control weaknesses that could result in loss. Performs analysis and reviews store accounting, inventory, and transaction data to detect issues and ensure that policies and programs to reduce loss are implemented. Being a Store Loss Prevention Auditor/Analyst coordinates with law enforcement to conduct investigations of theft or fraud. Recommends procedures and programs to remediate internal control weaknesses and mitigate losses. In addition, Store Loss Prevention Auditor/Analyst investigates employee policy violations. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Store Loss Prevention Auditor/Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
