Job Description
The Attorney, Experienced - Patents is responsible for preparing and filing patent applications and trademark registrations, litigating pending applications and registrations, and reporting possible violations. Determines potential of granting patents on inventions or trademarks, and monitors possibility of infringement. Being an Attorney, Experienced - Patents requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and may require admittance to a state bar. Prosecutes violations of organization's registrations and/or patents. In addition, Attorney, Experienced - Patents typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being an Attorney, Experienced - Patents occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
