The Plant Production Operations Manager develops and manages production schedules to meet internal volume, cost and quality goals. Oversees daily activities of the plant production operations. Being a Plant Production Operations Manager oversees staffing and development of all production supervisors and staff. Analyzes production metrics and makes recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified. In addition, Plant Production Operations Manager ensures safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Production Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Plant Production Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
