Job Description

The Storage/Distribution Terminal Supervisor coordinates loading, unloading, monitoring, and maintenance activities. Supervises the operations of a storage/distribution terminal (bulk, package, or both) associated with a plant. Being a Storage/Distribution Terminal Supervisor implements all required safety policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure secure and safe operations. Ensures delivery schedules are met and communicates changes or delays to shippers and customers. In addition, Storage/Distribution Terminal Supervisor prepares and reviews reports related to shipments and inventory. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Storage/Distribution Terminal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as a Storage/Distribution Terminal Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
