The Workplace Hazard Prevention Administrator I takes samples and measurements of hazardous materials, and coordinates the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards. Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions. Being a Workplace Hazard Prevention Administrator I ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Trains employees on safety, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to employee safety. In addition, Workplace Hazard Prevention Administrator I participates in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. Working as a Workplace Hazard Prevention Administrator I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
