Being a Workplace Health and Safety Engineer I ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals. In addition, Workplace Health and Safety Engineer I serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. Working as a Workplace Health and Safety Engineer I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.
