Mounts, demounts and balances commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by a service manager. Being a Commercial Tire Technician II follows established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service, noting additional needs and making recommendations to customers. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Additionally, Commercial Tire Technician II may require TIA certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Commercial Tire Technician II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
