Job Description for Assoc. Professor - Foreign Languages

Conducts college-level courses in the field of foreign languages. Areas of instruction include pronunciation, meaning, translation, and linguistic history of foreign languages. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures and leading classroom discussions. May administer and grade examinations or delegate the task to others. Conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Requires a doctorate degree in area of specialty, tenure, and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
