Job Description for Court Clerk

Responsible for clerical and administrative duties in a court of law. Maintains a docket of filing and hearing dates to ensure deadlines are met. Arranges and records payments of fees and fines. Assembles documents and materials for court proceedings. Follows organization and departmental procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
