Job Description for Drilling Engineer IV New Search   
Provides expert judgment for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research into emerging technology in the field. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to a manager or head of a unit/department.
