Job Description for Physician - Occupational Medicine New Search   
Oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine. May require at least 2-4 years of clinical experience in occupational medicine. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to a medical director.
